Fr.
Jon Pedigo, STL, is a native of the
Bay Area. He
has been active in civic affairs and
social justice causes for
over 25 years. Since his ordination
to the Diocese of San José in 1991, Fr.
Pedigo has been involved with
several local social justice causes
and inter-faith dialogues.
Fr. Pedigo serves as Pastor at
St Julie Billiart Parish, in
the southernmost area of the city
of San José. Currently
he is
working on immigrant rights and
addressing rising
poverty levels within Santa
Clara County.
Fr. Pedigo is a 2004 recipient of the
Martin Luther King Good
Neighbor Award and has been awarded the 2008
Immigrant Advocate
of the Year by SIREN (Services,
Immigrants, Rights and
Education Network). He serves on the
Sacred Heart Community Service
Board, the Human Concerns Commission
of the
Diocese of San José and the
Inter-Faith Council of Santa Clara
County.

Fr. Pedigo holds a Bachelor’s of
Music Degree from
San Francisco State University
and a
Master of Music from
Indiana University, Bloomington.
Together with Deacon Bernie Nojadera, Fr. Pedigo will present an evening of Jazz
music set to a video background of fractals created by
Rebecca Mitchell on Wednesday, Dec 9 at 7pm. Participants are invited to
relax, meditate and zone out to original freestyle jazz
at St. Julie Billiart Church, at the corner of Cottle and
Curie.

Fr. Pedigo did his theology studies
at St Patrick Seminary,
Menlo Park and holds a
Licentiate in Sacred Theology from
the Jesuit School of
Theology in Berkeley.
